Opinion of Dupatan Dupatanche about:
5 STARS
Hi Nadishana, I received the D Altaian Khomus about a week ago. It’s tone and feel are unsurpassed. This is easily the finest Jews Harp that I have ever played (and I’ve been playing for over 35 years). I take it everywhere and play it constantly. The action is smooth and the sustain unbelievable. I’m sure that I’ll be back for the other available keys as well. Is the G above the D or low? I also think that the amulet is quite beautiful and provides an easy way of transport…Bravo!! Thanks again, Jeff Virgo

FUTUJARA
hybrid fujara, 5 instruments in one!!!

The Futujara is our top model which was made in collaboration with

But futujara is not only

makes it really maneuverable and you can use technique which is used in
playing on
kalyuka, russian overtone flute (see the video for details).

Some important details for the care and fine tuning of your futujara:
  • - There is a little piece above the window on the top of your futujara,
you can shift it up and down. Use this part to fine tune the sound
of your futujara, you are going to see, it changes a lot.
  • - Same piece is very important to shift down after playing so the
wooden piece below can dry, if it is very wet you can use some
cloth for drying. If not it can damage your futujara!!!
  • - After playing you should also take off the hose or the little mouthpiece
depending on what you used, to let them dry.

To anyone thinking about getting a Futujara, I only have two words for you « Go Ahead » It is as described light and easy to carry around, easy to
play and comfortable. The holding position is the biggest difference, especially if you like the A or G keys, the hose is a great addition. The finger
holes are a short stretch but nothing compared to what I had tried before. Even on the G key I can choose between using index and middle finger/ring
finger/little finger and not struggle covering the holes properly. I still have to practice a bit more the fujara before I can try the kalyuka
technique, but I’m sure it will be a great option to explore. Thanks Nadishana and Max Brumberg for your work.

OK, so wow, you absolutely nailed this 150%! I like your fingerings better than those from fujara.sk because I'm more used to playing ethnic flutes,
tinwhistle, bansuri, shakuhachi, klui, etc., and they're closer to that. The flexibility of the hose is really nice because I can play
seated
or standing. The finger spacing allowing for alternate techniques is great, nothing like playing some Irish tunes on futujara.
I love the
fact that you made it a fujara first and added the new stuff second, by which I mean you made sure to get the fujara sound and not just make something
sort of like a fujara. Great sound!

The inclusion of the traditional style mouthpiece is really great. I find myself using the hose a
lot even on the shorter ones but I do think the traditional mouthpiece adds a bit more control over the shorter fujara and the overtone flute. I
could probably write a lot more but I
think I'll go and play some more before it gets too late, and that's about the best complement I can
give. I'll definitely be getting more instruments from you, you have some great stuff, and I'll recommend you to anybody who's interested. Thank you
for an absolutely incredible instrument.
